A Three-Volume Manga Retells Christie's Deadliest Mystery
The authorized manga will span three volumes, giving Nikaido room to translate Christie's intricate mystery into a visual format without reducing its atmosphere of suspicion. The first English volume contains 232 pages and will be published through VIZ Signature in paperback and digital editions. Its listed retail price is $14.99 and will be available through major retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Bookshop.org, and Kinokuniya, giving Christie readers multiple options for picking up the first installment.
Nikaido is particularly well suited to tackle the project after previously illustrating Japanese editions of Christie's novels and working on two Hercule Poirot short stories. Her connection to And Then There Were None also goes back years. She has explained that her father owned a copy of the novel, and after becoming interested in it, she famously read the entire book in a single sitting.
