Vizianagaram Bank Employees Coordination Committee president B.V. Prasad said the bank managements had ignored the demand for a five-day week even as the practice was being adopted by many private and public sector companies in the country.

He said the performance-linked incentive (PLI) should be extended to all staff instead of to selected employees. He asked the bank managements to hold talks with the employees’ unions before taking any new policy decision that might affect staff’s working conditions.
