BRICS Summit 2026 | Russian President Vladimir Putin has landed in New Delhi for a power-packed three-day visit as India hosts the 18th BRICS Summit. Putin was welcomed at the airport by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh. The Russian President is set to address the BRICS Business Forum before holding a key bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two leaders are also scheduled to visit the Innoprom industrial exhibition, co-hosted by India and Russia.
The main BRICS Summit proceedings begin on September 12, with leaders expected to discuss political security, financial systems, global and regional issues and deeper cooperation. Putin is also scheduled to meet other global leaders on the sidelines. All eyes are now on Putin’s India visit and the Modi-Putin talks.
