A fire broke out at the Vishwa Samudra Bio-Energy Pvt. Ltd. fuel factory in Sarvepalli village, Venkatachalam mandal, SPSR Nellore district, on Friday (September 11, 2026). According to sources, the fire was reported at a storage tank, which completely burned the oil inside.
Published - September 11, 2026 07:31 pm ISTNellore District Fire Officer Srinivasa Reddy said that before the fire personnel could reach the plant, the workers used internal fire safety equipment to douse the flames. "The reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained,” he added.
The residents of nearby villages who noticed the flames contacted the officials, fearing that the fire might spread to their villages.
