Paul Walker's potential return as Brian for the , Brian O'Conner. That possibility has been thrown into question as the comeback has hit a major stumbling block.

Paul Walker's brother, Cody Walker, has told that he will not be filming scenes for Fast 11. Since he played a pivotal role in the character appearing throughout Furious 7, his decision could have huge implications for Brian's teased return. However, Cody endorsed other methods being used to bring Brian back, as long as Paul Walker's daughter was supportive of that. Check out Cody Walker's comments below:

My stance is, it’s what Meadow wants to see done; it’s her father. I would not be interested in doing that again. I love the way his character exited the franchise. They didn’t kill him off, they didn’t do something cheesy like that. It’s beautiful, [Brian] is off raising his kids. But if they want to do that, if Meadow would like to see that, they don’t need me or Caleb. AI was not a thing back in 2014, so they could do that. There’s years of footage that was never used from these other Fast films. They’re the best in the business, they can figure that out.
Since Fast X was released in 2023 and ended on a cliffhanger with a slew of unresolved storylines, the anticipation for the movie series' next chapter has been high. While fans have been wanting to Fast and Furious
movies.

There are many reasons why Furious 7 didn't face a backlash for bringing Brian to life in scenes he didn't get a chance to film before his passing. The movie's highly emotional ending and the fact that he'd signed on to film the movie were among them. Additionally, the involvement of the actor's brothers in the project made it feel like a tribute instead of a way to profit from a departed star's likeness.

With at least one of his siblings backing away from Fast 11, that could make the perception of bringing Walker back to life in the film different. However, if it is supported by his daughter and the storyline is handled well, it could still be a popular return. While the reaction from viewers may be hard to predict, one thing is clear: there will be a lot of pressure to do the character justice if Brian returns to the Fast and Furious series.
