Saudi Arabia halted several energy facilities in the south, as the Iran-backed Houthi militants claimed fresh strikes on the kingdom. The Yemen-based Houthis said they targeted Saudi Aramco’s facilities in Abha, Najran and Jazan with ballistic missiles and drones, the group’s military spokesperson said in a statement. The attacks caused fires at several locations, and efforts were ongoing to contain the blazes, the Saudi energy ministry said on X, without naming the facilities.
