It’s another chapter in the feud between father and son. The Mysterios have grown apart since Dominik joined The Judgment Day. Dominik has described his father as a "deadbeat" as their paths have crossed over the years.

"I think, for me, what would really, really do it is he would have to give up his mask," he said. "Claim me as Rey Mysterio, taking on the name, getting on his knees and apologizing and giving me the mask and retiring and leaving. That would be the perfect ending for me. "
In Lucha Libre, an opponent taking the mask off of an opponent is a symbol of disrespect. Competitors have put their masks on the line to end bitter rivalries. One took place earlier this year between El Grande Americano and Original El Grande Americano.
It’s unclear if it would ever come to that. Rey Mysterio appears to be on top of his game – even at 51 years old. He’s also the AAA general manager and it doesn’t appear he will be ready to give up any of that any time soon.
