Yellow alert for two districts of Keralam on Sept. 10
The hot and humid conditions prevailing across the State are likely to ease in parts of the State from Thursday, with the expected formation of a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal. According to a weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low-pressure area is likely to form over the North Bay of Bengal and its neighborhood on Thursday.

The weather system is expected to trigger isolated showers in parts of the State especially in central and south Kerala, over the next few days. A yellow alert has been issued for Ernakulam and Alappuzha on Thursday, warning of isolated heavy rains. Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Kottayam and Ernakulam were put on yellow alert on Saturday, indicating the strengthening of the rainfall activity until this weekend.
