Dungeons & Dragons Officially Drops 3 New Playable Subclasses For Free

D&D, which players can pick up right now and use in adventures. A lot of free options have been made available to players recently with the introduction of the monthly drop system on D&D Beyond, but that doesn’t stop Wizards of the Coast from handing out other freebies. Ahead of the release of new official sourcebooks, like the upcoming Arcana Unleashed expansion, the TTRPG usually playtests some of its materials. Now, a new playtest on ’s Unearthed Arcana has gone live, bringing forth three new playable subclasses that you can use entirely for free. It’s worth noting that these character options are still a work in progress and don’t necessarily represent the final version, but they are fully playable from level 1-20.

As seen in the playtest material, the D&D is also making a comeback, updated for 5.5e rules. Effectively speaking, this subclass can command a mycelial network to deal extra damage or apply crowd control effects on enemies, command Zombies in battle, and even continue playing while Unconscious. Lastly, the Faerzress Sorcerer commands the titular Faerzress radiation from the Underdark to protect themselves and allies from Divination spells while also playing as a big battlefield control character.
